Manoa Falls by Steve, Haruka, and Kara

MANOA FALLS 6/19/13
STEVE
HARUKA
KARA

 Experience at the MANOA FALLS
1. How was the hike?
* The ground was slippery and muddy
* And our feet got stuck a lot!
* The waterfall was very beautiful.
* Sometimes we needed help when we were on top of the rocks.
* It sometimes drizzled when we were hiking.
* At the end we all washed our muddy feet and all of us were happy!

A Poem about the Manoa falls

MANOA FALL
by Steve

Manoa Fall is

hard hiking is the only path.

MANOA FALLS

Slippery wet mud

Pretty Waterfall

MANOA FALLS
by Haruka

Muddy!
Always slippery!
Not to far from Punahou
Only way to climb is to pass through the sticky mud.
Awesome!!!

Falls
A valley
Long way to go up
Lots and Lots of plants
Snakes are not there so don't worry!!!

Student Questions

1. How do you think the weather affects the flow of the waterfalls and the stream?

A: If it's really sunny and hot, the stream and waterfalls will not have that much water coming down. But, if it's really rainy there will be a LOT of water.

2. What were the signs of erosion? What were some causes?

A: The mud we were walking on was actually a sign of erosion.
The smooth rocks were also a sign of erosion. Every time someone steps on it, the mud sticks to their foot and takes away the mud.
Rain and the water are also causes of erosion, especially at Manoa Falls!
