Water Cycle by Kate, Elizabeth, Hiroki

Our class learned about the water cycle and we made roles for plants, animals, and humans. We learned that all of our subjects needed water to live on. Also plants, animals, and us need water for lots of different reasons like for plants water provides food for them. For animals, they can wash off, water also makes them a home, they can cool off in water. For humans, they swim, cook, and clean in it. Water also helps by cleaning pets and cleaning yourself. Some of the connections in the role of water are that both plants and animals can live in water habitats. Another connection is that drinking water is important for plants, animals, and humans.

Then we learned about the real water cycle, which includes evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and water collection. Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers, streams, oceans and turns into vapor and goes into the air. We also learned about condensation. It is vapor that gets cold and and changes into liquid, forming clouds. Precipitation means that water condenses so much that the air can't hold it any more and it leads to rain, hail, or snow. Finally, water collection goes back into ocean, ends up on land, or becomes ground water. And the cycle starts all over again!
