Maiʻa by Hiroki
The Maiʻa leaves were used to cover the food placed in the Imu.They were also used to make temporary sandals.
The Maiʻa trunk from banana and plantain trees here used as rollers to move large canoes. The Maiʻa Fruit was eaten raw or cooked.
